WHAT IS DIE, MOMMIE, DIE! ?
DIE, MOMMIE, DIE! is a camp comedy classic by Charles Busch about a one-time star from the Hollywood of the 1960s refusing to admit her star faded long ago. It was produced for the Celebration Theatre (America's oldest theatre company dedicated to telling the stories of the LGBTQ+ community) starring Drew Droege and directed by Ryan Bergman.
Charles Busch's 1999 comedy DIE, MOMMIE, DIE! is about a has-been actress, Angela Arden, trying to seduce, cajole, an deceive her way back to greatness no matter what it may mean for her highly dysfunctional family. The show is steeped in the hilarious stereotypes of Hollywood in the 1960s, and is considered one of Busch's best.
